Sophie Lea, PhD


Dr Sophie Lea is an academic at Monash University, counsellor, clinical supervisor, trainer and former teacher with a passion for youth wellbeing. She has 25 years of experience working in the helping professions, in educational settings and in private practice. Her research fields explore youth mental health, kindness and resiliency and therapist clinical supervision practices.  

Dr Lea is a co-founder and research lead for Kind Schools, consultant and advisory board member for Resilient Youth Australia. 

She works alongside numerous therapists and educators to advocate and facilitate best-practice mental health outcomes for young people.
