Adele Stewart, MBBS, FRACGP
Dr. Adele Stewart has been a GP in the Illawarra region of NSW for 30 years. She is registered to provide focused psychological strategies, is an IFS therapist and an accredited, trained mindfulness-based stress reduction and mindful self compassion teacher. Adele has an interest in the confluence between mindfulness, self-compassion, and modern pain neuroscience – particularly in the area of chronic pelvic pain. These days over half her work is in IFS therapy and running face-to-face and online courses in mindfulness, self-compassion and pain explained for health professionals and others. Adele doesn’t consider that she has a lot of original ideas but is known to have a down-to-earth, compassionate and engaging knack of teaching these concepts and practices to others.
Adele has been recently elected as Chair of Pain Management Specific Interest for the Royal Australian College of GPs
