Join Ruth Aspy, Ph.D., and Barry G. Grossman, Ph.D., co-authors of The Ziggurat Model, as they teach you how to simplify the complex process for designing comprehensive interventions for individuals of all ages with autism spectrum disorders. You’ll learn how to apply this model in mental health and other therapeutic settings to adapt strategies and develop treatment plans that are responsive to the underlying autism.
You’ll learn how to individualize strategies in order to effectively address educational, social-communication, and behavioural needs. The focal point of the assessment-driven model is a five-tiered research-centred system that capitalizes on strengths to address underlying needs. And, most importantly, when taught to autistics, the model is an effective self-help tool!
PESI Australia, in collaboration with PESI in the USA, offers quality online continuing professional development events from the leaders in the field at a standard recognized by professional associations including psychology, social work, occupational therapy, alcohol and drug professionals, counselling and psychotherapy. On completion of the training, a Professional Development Certificate is issued after the individual has answered and submitted a quiz and course evaluation. This program is worth 1.75 hours CPD for points calculation by your association.
