Description

Healthcare workers have had to face major difficulties and traumatic situations during the Covid-19 outbreak. The ability to cope with intense stress and anxiety has been crucial, especially for frontline healthcare workers. Somatic Experiencing® (SE®) is a trauma-focused approach that is effective in reducing traumatic and chronic stress and enhancing resilience. This session will discuss the results of a recent study on the effects of SE-based stabilization exercises with healthcare workers along with the presentation of ways that one healthcare system has utilized short-term SE-based stabilization techniques in their clinic.
