When a little girl looks at her mother, she also sees herself. When she perceives her mother’s pain or difficulties with her little child’s understanding of the situation, she might say; "when I grow up I will do much better than my mother".. On the other hand, a little child might say to her mother; "I will spend all of my entire life to help resolve your situation". This being a developmental trauma, in both cases a little child will sacrifice herself and her future in vain. Often time, women issues and suffering are passed on through generation to generation by storytelling and or through genetics. Healing will happen when we are able to look at our foremothers and experience their greatness.
