Description

Relationships are vital for our wellbeing and yet most humans struggle at times with various aspects of relationships, including emotional or physical intimacy, conflict and recovering from betrayal. IFS is a unique and powerful tool for assisting relationships – both internal and external – to heal and thrive. This presentation will describe the use of IFS in Relationship Counselling as described by Richard Schwartz in You Are the One You’ve Been Waiting For, as well as by Toni Herbine-Blank in Intimacy from the Inside Out (IFIO), a model that utilises the intimate relationship as a container for the growth and healing of both individuals and the relationship. IFIO methods for working with couples including Tracking the Sequence, the U-turn, Unblending and Courageous Communication, as well as the differences between individual and Relational IFS, will be illustrated such that participants – either current Relationship Therapists or those with an interest in Relationship Therapy for clients or themselves – will develop greater insight into the use of relational IFS. Participants will also gain skills that they can take into their daily life in order to enhance their relational connections in both personal and professional relationships.

This product is not endorsed by, sponsored by, or affiliated with the IFS Institute and does not qualify for IFS Institute credits or certification.
